This is an exceptionally pretty pocket watch!
The 14K gold covers (same on back and front covers) are an engraved and machine-engineered leafy design that is typical of this Edwardian Period or late Victorian era. This one's serial number places it as having been made in 1910. The serial number is 15197296.
This piece of jewelry has a bright white face and is in pristine condition. Dainty long hands go around the Roman numerals on the watchface.
The hinges work great and the covers snap closed securely. No apologies necessary! The numbers on the inside of both the front and back covers match and are 5031092 and verify that it is 14K gold. There are no dents to the covers (one photo has a reflection that makes it look like a large dent but it is definitely not a dent). There are a couple of pencil point sized dings on the side edge.
The watch works are damaskeened and indicates that this is 15 jewels.
There are no indications of a jeweler's mark for servicing. We tested and set and wound watch and it kept great time.
The watch measures 1 5/16" in diameter and is 1 7/8" to the top of the bail.
It weighs 32 grams.
