Clearly signed "RRR" we have been unable to determine the artist/maker. It is in excellent condition. Styled in a Georg Jensen-like manner (pea in pod/blossom pattern) this ladle distinguishes itself in several ways.
First - it is very good looking. Second - it is very sturdily made with a substantial amount of silver used - it weighs over 6 ounces. Third - it features two elements that are very practical and rarely seen on sterling silver ladles. One element is the pour spout from the bowl. Nice to have it. The second nice element is the piece of silver flange on the back of the ladle handle. That flange allows one to suspend the ladle from the side of the pot so that you don't have to worry about setting it down somewhere and dripping all over!
The total length is 11 1/2". The bowl (not counting the spout) is approx. 3 1/4" in diameter and holds 1/2 cup of liquid. The condition is excellent.
Based on mark, this is a pre-1980 piece and most likely dates from the 1940s-50s.
