This brooch looks like colorful molten gold, silver, and brilliant primary color enamels. The metalwork has a lava-flow appearance and the semi-opaque enamels look wet! Deep jewel tones - cobalt blue, deep ruby red, bright yellow, white, and light blue are all surrounded by globular flowing linear separators in silver with a touch of gold/gold wash in spots. No damages.
The reverse side is completely gold washed and bears the Balle signature. Made in Norway. Probably 1950s but have not yet figured out how to date Balle pieces. Highly desired in today's mid-century collectible world. 1 3/4" x 1 1/4".
