This is a gorgeous 12 1/4" diameter portrait charger. The portrait is of a young woman holding a large, beautiful bouquet of flowers. It is unmarked, but clearly in the R.S. Prussia style and consistent with the 'Steeple Mold'.
The very wide border features thorny, raised gold leaves and bell-shaped flowers on a deep brown/bronze ground shading to a pale green with RS steeple mold #8. Unmarked. Examples of this steeple mold shape are found in the R.S. Prussia book. Ca. 1897-1914.
It is in excellent condition with no damages. It has factory drilled hanging holes on the reverse with a wire through them. Please note that the first photo was taken with the flash and the second with ambient daylight. The remaining pictures were taken without the flash. This is a wonderful antique charger plate. One of the best of its type.
