This is a phenomenal find! The beautiful bright gold decoration and trim is on a fine bone china ground that is bright white in color. The condition is as near mint as you can find on the secondary market! Not a chip, rub, crack, etc. Perfect. The pattern is very similar to Hammersley's Golden Cornflower, but the flowers are thistles. A couple of the items have the number 5905 on the back and Replacements identifies that simply as a design description of "scalloped, gold thistles". They have none in stock to compare. As you will see in the photos, except for the plates of course, the pieces are all footed.
The set consists of a teapot, coffeepot, creamer, open sugar bowl, and 12 eight inch dessert/luncheon plates.
The teapot measures 10 1/2" across from spout to handle edge and is 6 1/2" high and features a figural rose on the knob of the lid.
The coffeepot measures 9" high x 8" across and features a flower bud knob on the lid.
The creamer is 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".
The sugar is 5 3/8" x 3" high.
The plates are 8" in diameter.
Prices are broken down within this description but the price shown is for the entire group which is at a a discount for the entire grouping. If you want to purchase separate pieces, some will be available separately at the prices shown. Please note that the creamer and sugar will stay with the teapot and will not be sold separately.
Coffeepot $175.00, Teapot with creamer and open sugar $325.00, 6 plates $95.00 or 12 plates $180.00. Email me if you are interested in any of the individually priced items and we will figure it out.
