Details- This early 19th century Bidjar is in good condition. Bidjar is a weaving center in Northwestern Persia. The fine production here has asymmetry and bold designs like a tribal rug, but intricacy and floral elements like city production. Bidjar rugs are very collectible. There is a large variety of densely knotted small rugs made in homes with charming unusual designs. Finer large rugs were commissioned for Westerners and Persian nobility.
