Details- This early 20th Century Northwest Persian Rug is in excellent condition. Between the Caucus mountains, the Caspian Sea, and South Asia is the area of Northwest Persia. There are many cities and villages making a variety of production in this area, including the city of Tabriz and Heriz. There are also many rugs sold generically as Northwest Persian. These rugs are made in the small villages in this region and use the Turkish knot and tribal designs. The rugs are much like Herizs in construction and color, but utilize different designs and are usually runners and small room sizes.
