We have been Nippon collectors and antique dealers for over 20 years and are putting some of our personal collection up for sale. This piece is genuine Nippon generally made between 1891 and 1921. The cake plate is unmarked since only products made for export when made were required to be marked, but the quality of the production and combination of moriage, cobalt blue and heavy gold around hand painted roses makes this a wonderful addition to your collection. Many pieces not intended for export were later bought by tourist and service men returning from Japan with these porcelain treasures. The piece is in exceptional condition with very minimal moriage loss and no chips, cracks or hairlines. Measurement is about 10 1/2 " across the handles and 9 1/2 " across the body.
