This piece is genuine Nippon generally made between 1891 and 1921 and like most moriage is unmarked since most of it was made before 1891. The cup and two saucers have a striking red background, green moriage, including a rooster, as shown, yellow and lavender blooms (appear to be poppies) and very detailed handpainted dot highlights on the moriage. The cup is a delicate three footed piece. These pieces are in exceptional condition with very minimal moriage loss and no chips, cracks or hairlines. Measurement for the cup is about 2" high, 3 5/8" across the handle and top, and 3" across the body. The saucers are about 4 5/8" across. Separate listings have a matching tea pot and a larger cup and saucer. Shipping and insurance may be combined to reduce cost if multiple listings are purchased.
