Nippon was made in Japan between 1891 and 1921. This beautiful cobalt blue, jeweled (an enameled treatment) and heavy gold chocolate pot is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, hairlines and great gold. The motif is a gorgeous combination of multi-colored sea weeds and shells with lots of enameled jewels and is literally covered in gold. The pot is guaranteed authentic (appropriately marked as shown) and not a reproduction but looks like it was made yesterday. The piece is 10 1/4" high with the lid, 6" wide at the widest part and about 7" across at the handle. This is one of several pieces of Nippon that will be listed from our personal collection so check back to see the other fine Nippon items we plan to list.
