Yes this incredible set circa 1926 is complete with all original 300 stereoscope (stereoview) cards depicting in 3 D the horrors of this conflict. This was the clash of manual and mechanized warfare. One photo has a cavalry troop with swords in the foreground and a bi-plane overhead. I attempted to get representative photos of the set but it was impossible to show the variety in only 9 photos, so I will list a second item (1269) which will allow you to view 9 more cards. Interested parties can also contact me for additional examples. The set comes in three boxes. These boxes originally had a glued on label showing Volumes I through VI. All the labels are off the set and I only have Volume V remaining which could be re-glued. Most amazing is the completeness of the set and the fact that it comes with the Keystone View Co. book that lists not only all the cards and a description but other interesting information about the war. The book even has two fold out maps in the back. One is the Battle of the Western Front at 11 a m on Nov. 11th 1918 while the other is a color "World War Map Battle Ground of Liberty published for Keystone View Company". Numerous photos show the devastation of the war zones with churches, homes and entire cities leveled in the fighting. One church was totally destroyed but a crucifix was unharmed in the ruins. Rescue dogs are shown finding and saving wounded soldiers. An early flamethrower was captured which looks like a back mounted pesticide sprayer in another photo. The famous Zeppelin and dirigibles are also depicted on stereoview cards. The cards are in excellent condition and are a rare find for both WWI buffs and collectors or stereographic cards. Texas residents to pay 8 1/4 % sales tax or provide exemption information. As noted above I am listing item 1269 with more photos but there is only one set available for sale.
