Handpainted detail is exquisite for this wonderful chocolate pot and Limoges cups. The pot is marked Leonard Vienna Austria and the four matching cups and saucers are all marked "J P over L France" which is the Jean Pouyat Limoges mark from the late 1800's to early 1900's. There are no chips, cracks, hairlines or other damage. The pot has a small area on the left side where it looks like the dark lavender did not completely cover the undercoat when it was painted but it is hard to see and does not detract from the beauty of the set. I have taken a close up of the area in the last photo for you to judge for yourself. The gold is very heavy and does not show signs of wear. The insides of the cups are gold and the decorations of gold around the florals are very heavy and detailed as shown. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own such a set in this condition and quality. The matching saucers are 4 5/8" across and the cups are 3 13/16" high and 2 1/4" across the top.
The chocolate pot is about 11 1/4" high to the top of the finial, 6 1/4" across the spout and handle, 3 1/2" across the body of the pot and 4 3/4" from the front of the body to the back.
