This dark blue enameled circa early 1800's historical Staffordshire ironstone pottery platter measures an impressive 17" long and 13 1/4" from top to bottom. It is in very good to excellent condition with no chips, cracks or hairlines. Because it is ironstone there is some rust showing on some of the edge and back and a few small areas where the glaze did not cover on the front. These are not noticeable and are only mentioned for accuracy. The piece is marked on the back with both “Jedburgh Abbey Roxburghshire” which is in Scotland and the impressed makers mark “Adams Warranted Staffordshire.
