Decorated in raised impasto gilt decor against a rich, ruby red background.
Small rosettes and vines are decorated throughout the magnificent arabesque frieze that borders each plate, trimmed by an encrusted gold inner edge decorated in a pattern of similar florals and laurel leaves
Plate measures: 10 7/8" diameter
Excellent condition - No gold loss, no cracks, no chips, no crazing
Each plate is marked at the back for the William Guerin factory of Limoges, France, in green and alongside another William Guerin mark in gold, circa. 1900-1932.
