The creation of these dolls is a long time tradition begun by Claude Carbonel himself. This spectacular Carbonel doll was made to represent life in France in the 18th & 19th century. Every detail of clothing is hand stitched and all dolls are one of a kind. The quality of her hand stitched clothing is truly wonderful and true to the times including undergarments. This doll represents the average French farming women of the early days. She holds two baskets, one in each hand filled with berries. The doll has a sticker on the bottom that reads "Santon de Provence, Claude Carbonel". This doll stands 10 1/2" tall. She is in excellent condition!
