This is a contemporary southwest Native American Navajo pottery pitcher. The base color of the pitcher is off-white. Then around the widest part of the pitcher towards the bottom is hand painted art. On the top and bottom of the painted section are black lines that wrap all the way around the pitcher. In between the lines are some geometric shapes such as triangles, lines and others all done in black. Behind these shapes is colored paint that begins in an orange hue and changes colors as it fades down to the bottom ending in blue. The colors remind me of a sunset. The pitcher is signed on the bottom D. Lee Navajo. The pitcher is in good condition, no chips/cracks. It does have a few minor scratches on the off-white part that are not obvious as well as a small black scratch on a portion of the art work (see pictures). It is 7.5" tall, 6" wide at the widest point and the top opening is 3.25" in diameter. It weighs 1lb 7oz.
