Florence Ceramics began making figurines and other items in Pasadena, CA during World War II. The company was sold in the 1960's but had already made their mark due to the wonderful facial expressions and 19th century clothing beautifully done on their figurines. This is a fine example of their work. Elaine, stands 6" tall and 4 1/8" wide at her widest point. She is dressed in a gorgeous white dress with gold trim, a green bonnet and mittens with a gold muff resting in front of her with her hands inside of it. She is a brunette with rosy cheeks and red lips. She is stunning! There is a small chip on the front left side of her green bonnet but otherwise she is in good condition. Her name along with the Florence Ceramics mark and the artist's initials are on the bottom of the figurine.
