ONE OF NATURE’S MOST BEAUTIFUL AND FEROCIOUS CREATURES BROUGHT TO LIFE BY ONE OF THE MOST ORIGINAL, PROLIFIC AND ACCOMPLISHED AMERICAN MASTER JEWELERS COMPANY..
From my personal collection- Ever since its purchase, I have been enthralled by this exquisite Ciner creation, which I am pleased to offer here: A tiger preparing for a jump from above to catch its prey. Please note the flexed muscles and the arched back– its posture at the same time predatory and elegant, its concentrated expression full of anticipation of the hunt. I had photographed it in various positions to underscore the above description.
The tiger motif in jewelry is not unique to Ciner – this graceful animal had fascinated artists in various media for centuries . However, I have never seen a fashion jewelry design remotely similar to this. The portrayal of this beautiful animal is more than matched by its impeccable and high end (characteristic to all Ciner jewelry) craft. The body is sculptured in a base metal heavily gold plated with 18 KT gold. The tiger’s body , its tail and face are covered with amber and black color epoxy enameled stripes as well as with stripes of clear round paved Swarovski crystals . The face is mostly paved with clear crystals save for the black enameling of the brows, the round eyes and the nose. It is so very true to the original model! The obverse side of the brooch is done in the signature Ciner textured gold plated metal and has the Ciner signature. It is truly an unusual and striking piece of an understated elegance fashion accessory which can be worn from morning to night.

About CINER: It was not until 1931 that CINER, a renowned designer of fine jewelry since 1892, had switched their production to a high end fashion jewelry. Ever since, they have maintained the high standards not only of their spectacular designs, but have used only rich enameling, heavy metals and premium gold and silver- tone plating, assuring substantial feel and the longevity of their jewelry. Their jewelry, many of which successfully imitate fine jewelry, is known for being incrusted with the finest quality of glass beads, crystals and stones by Swarovski and their imitation pearls are produced in Japan. In the past several years, CINER began using semi-precious stones in the fashion jewelry and it remains in high demand among the collectors. Ciner jewelry is considered an art and their vintage fashion jewelry is a part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s permanent Fashion Department collection. They have also been commissioned to create costume jewelry for the Museum’s Gift Shop..
