From my personal collection-. Most of the Christian Dior jewelry from 1950’s on, had been designed and manufactured by the House of Henkel and Grosse of Germany.
The necklace offered here has the distinctive, hallmark CD ( for Christian Dior) clasp. It is a very classic, elegant and timeless sautoir jewelry. Bezel set in an open work base, art glass , the onyx stones are of the highest quality . The Figaro designer chain , crafted in a premium 18 KT gold plate metal is as fashionable today as it was then.
DIMENSIONS: 32” LONG X ¼” WIDE. Cabochons: ½” long X 3/8” wide
MATERIALS: Premier 18K gold plate metal. Four art glass onyx cabochons
VINTAGE AND CONDITION: Purchased in 1980s, the necklace is in an excellent vintage condition, with all the stones intact and no visible signs of metal wear. It was sparingly worn and carefully stored in my lined jewelry armoire. It will shipped in the Dior brand gift box but will miss the original packaging materials, such as the brand pouch and tags.
About Christian Dior: The understated, elegance and clean lines underscore the opulence and the splendor of the Christian Dior jewelry. It is highly treasured because it reflects femininity and artistry and is crafted from the highest quality materials. Most of the Dior pieces (1950-2005) were designed by the House of Henkel & Grosse of Germany, eventually taken over by Dior in 2005. Christian Dior jewelry is highly treasured, one of the most valuable on the market today and a good investment for collectors of vintage jewelry.
