“A classic and very fashionable necklace, reflecting high quality, femininity and artistry”

From my personal collection- I actually own two of these identical 1980’s chic and trendy chain necklaces which have four symmetrically stationed onyx art glass cabochons on a classic design gold chain. The one, offered here, is by Christian Dior ( by Grosse), was purchased in early 1988’s in New York; the other, designed by Grosse and signed by this famous West German designer was purchased in Rome, Italy, and was given to me as a gift. The only difference between the two are the clasps fashioned as designer’s initials letters . The necklace offered here has the distinctive, hallmark CD clasps; the other has GG clasps.

It is a very classic, elegant and timeless necklace . Bezel set in an open work base, the art glass onyx stones are of the highest quality . The designer chain , made of a premium gold plate metal is as fashionable today as it was then.

About Christian Dior: The understated, elegance and clean lines underscore the opulence and the splendor of the Christian Dior jewelry. It is highly treasured because it reflects femininity and artistry and is crafted from the highest quality materials. Most of the Dior pieces (1950-2005) were designed by the House of Henkel & Grosse of Germany, eventually taken over by Dior in 2005. Christian Dior jewelry is highly treasured, one of the most valuable on the market today and a good investment for collectors of vintage jewelry.

 DIMENSIONS: 32”long x ¼” wide. Cabochons: ½” long X 3/8” wide

MATERIALS: Premier 18 karat gold plate metal. Four art glass onyx cabochons.

VINTAGE AND CONDITION: Purchased in 1980s, the necklace is in an excellent vintage condition, with all the stones intact and no visible signs of metal wear. It was sparingly worn and carefully stored in my lined jewelry armoire. It will be shipped in the Dior brand gift box but will miss the original packaging materials, such as the brand pouch and tags.
