Hard to Find” Royal Doulton's Coaching Days Series Saucer and Plate.
The stamp on the cup shows, that it was made between 1922 and 1955.
The Coaching Days series was drawn by Victor Venner,
It was introduced in 1905 and it was withdrawn from production in 1955.
On page 52 of volume 2 of Royal Doulton Series Ware; Louise Irvine describes 20 scenes in this series.
These plate and saucer still have very bright colors and the details are just beautiful. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
Back stamps: Royal Doulton interlocking D’s, Lion, Crown, E0804 on the cup, 1120 on the saucer.
In this Coach series saucers and cups are usually paired.
This is the case with this set.

Saucer- 5 ½” diameter
Cup- 4 ¼” wide
3 ½ diameter at the top,
2 ½”- at the bottom
