This hand-painted tile and bronze soap holder is hallmarked with crown, wreath and typeface WL, 1895, a hallmark of William Low.
Some connoisseurs deny this hallmark belonging to William Low, a Manufacturer of China, Earthenware, based in Longton, Staffordshire (active 1874-1931)
This Soap dish has additional marks: F12 and 96E.
The ornament on this soap dish has a surprise, hidden in it.
Alike to Salvador Dali manner, the artist has hidden a face incorporated into the ornament.
If to look at the pattern to 15degrees clockwise, you can see it on the upper right part of the item.(see photos)
The soap dish has no chips, only slightly visible age related crazing and some spots on the bottom, that show the item’s age.
It measures:
