I was so excited to find this rare 1950's large enamel Monterrey Western Ware oval serving bowl. The bowl is a beautiful yellow with brown trim. I love the variety of cattle brands that adorn the inner rim of the bowl. In the center is a colorful chuck wagon with a cowboy cook preparing something for the stew pot warming over the fire. The bowl measures 14" long, 11 1/4" wide, and 2 1/8" deep. It is in excellent condition with no scratches or utensil marks on the face of the bowl. The outer bottom shows light wear and there are a few areas where the enamel is chipped along the outer rim (see pictures). The bowl is marked "Monterrey Western Ware Made in Mexico".
