Gene Florence says in his Encyclopedia of Depression Glass that "the jeweled arches of the Romanesque pattern is drawing in more and more collectors with its magnetic charm" and I am one of them! The color and cut of the pattern is so beautiful the way it shimmers in the light. Romanesque was produced by the L.E. Smith Glass Company in the early 1930's. This gorgeous console bowl measures 10 1/2" in diameter. It is in excellent condition, however there is definite roughness where the mould flashing extends from the bowl. This bowl is pictured in black in "Collector's Encyclopedia of Depression Glass" by Gene & Cathy Florence. Shipping will be discounted on multiple orders.
