* Holly Blue Chalcedony is actually lavender purple and not really blue at all. Unlike lots of Chalcedony on the market, Holly Blue is not dyed to achieve the color. Quality specimens like these exhibit adularescence, which is the glowing moonstone effect.
First mined in Holly Oregon it can be found in several localities world wide. True, natural unaltered Holly Blue is scarce on the market and quite spendy; worth every penny if you collect unusual gemmies and relish quality. I think every jewelry lover needs to have at least one piece of jewelry with Holly Blue in their collection.
Earrings can be designed to compliment this if desired.
As always thanks for looking!
