The name Coro is actually a combination of the last names of the two founders, Cohn and Rosenberger. Founded in the 1900s, the Coro jewelry company became a powerhouse in reasonably priced costume jewelry and brought colored stones and glitter to middle-class women all over America. Produced in their factory in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1946 Coro employed 2100 people with gross sales of $16M! Even though the Coro brand changed hands in the 1970s and stopped in the 1990s, it's impact changed the landscape of American costume jewelry.
Beautiful silver tone leaves drape over each section of this Coro necklace and earring set. The colors of rhinestones - deep blue, light blue, yellow and aurora borealis are a stunning combination and are all set in an antiqued silver setting. A beautiful set and a wonderful piece of history.
