Jacques' son, William, is credited with bringing the brand to the United States and being a master craftsman himself. A serious student of period design, William was able to translate historical designs to modern settings and also created many set designs for the motion pictures. Hobe ceased production in 1995 and remained a family owned business to the end. The Hobe jewelry company offered styles very different in design from their original pieces.
