Vintage Kramer of New York Red and Pink Rhinestone Brooch and Earring Set

What a lovely Kramer of New York brooch and clip earring set, so hard to find these days. The brooch has multiple levels with a single row of marquise-shaped pink rhinestones and a second layer of deep red oval rhinestones. The matching clip earrings use the same colored rhinestones in a floral design. All the stones are prong set in a gold-plated metal. The brooch is marked Kramer of New York, and the clip earrings have a patent number. Excellent vintage condition. Circa: 1950s

Louis Kramer was a top American costume jewelry designer from the 20th century. His New York-based company produced jewelry from 1943 until 1980. Kramer is well known for using only the finest Austrian crystal in his pieces. His designs were so exemplary that he was tapped by Christian Dior for his jewelry in the 1950s. Pieces can be signed Kramer, Kramer of New York and Christian Dior by Kramer.
