What a unique gift for the person in your life that appreciates the history of a fine accessory. This beautiful hand-blown etched crystal liquor glass has been perfectly preserved within the felt lining of it's perfectly fitting burgundy leather case. At 2 ¼” tall, the glass is slightly larger than a shot glass. After some research, I found that these glasses were also called sample glasses. It would have been impossible to date the glass but the case is marked “Dennison Maker”. More research led me to a company in Birmingham, England that made leather cases from 1874-1895. They made watch cases as well. Fine craftsmanship and an elegant traveling companion. The piece was purchased in England at a famous antique market.
Size: Glass is 2 ¼” tall
Color: Burgundy leather case; clear glass
Condition: Very good, slight wear on top of case
Circa: Late 1800s to early 1900s
