This is a rare set by Weiss. A mix of wonderful smooth cabochons in deep colors and various sizes. The whole set is done in glass cabochons. Every stone is prong set by hand in a bright gold-tone metal setting. All pieces are marked and in excellent vintage condition. Exquisite, highly-collectible set!

A former employee of costume jewelry powerhouse Coro, Albert Weiss started the Weiss jewelry company in 1942. Collectors covet Weiss' expertly crafted work with rhinestones and floral and natural figural designs. Michael Weiss, Albert's son, inherited the business after his father's retirement, but the company eventually closed in the 1970s.
