Beautiful copper cuff bracelet and clip-on earrings with three-dimensional metal spiral, reflective of abstract mid-century modern designs. The cuff itself has a satin-like finish, while the metal spiral is highly polished with a blackened finish on its interior. A darkened oxidized finish has been applied onto the cuff underneath the spiral, which produces a greater sense of depth to this very three-dimensional bracelet. Metal condition on all pieces is very good with a few minor surface scratches that are visible under 10x magnification.
The set's design is entitled "Flame", and dates from around 1960. It is pictured on page 111 of "Copper Art Jewelry: A Different Lustre" by Burkholz and Kaplan. This collectible cuff bracelet and earring demi is in very good to excellent vintage condition. The Renoir line of jewelry was founded in Los Angeles, CA in 1946 by Jerry Fels. The company was famous for its jewelry made from copper metal but also used sterling silver metal. The company made jewelry of contemporary abstract designs that leaned towards modern art.
