Striking Hollycraft Victorian Style brooch with deeply colored sapphire and light blue rhinestones in a leaf and bow design. Marquise and round rhinestone shapes are all part of this exquisite design. The back is stamped Hollycraft and Copr 1957. Hollycraft often dated their designs in the 1950s. The brooch is 2.5 x 2 inches. Very Good vintage condition and a stunning piece.
Hollycraft (1938-1971) Originally called the Hollywood Jewelry Manufacturing Co, Hollycraft was founded in New York in 1938 by Armenian Joseph Chorbajian. In 1948 the Hollycraft name was introduced. Hollycraft pieces are signed, pieces from the late 1940s and 1950s are often marked with their exact date of production. In 1970 Chorbajian sold the company and production ceased shortly afterward. Their most popular designs are the pieces in the pastel color combination from the 1950s.
