A matching set of Weiss, sophisticated and glamorous, including a necklace, bracelet and clip earrings. The deep ruby red polished cabochons and faceted rhinestones are a striking color and all are prong set. Beautifully constructed in a silver plated metal setting. The necklace measures 16 inches long by 1.25 inches wide (at the widest part). The necklace has a hook closure. The matching bracelet measures 7 x 1 inch and has a push in clasp and a safety chain. The clip-on earrings are 1.25 inches long. All parts of the set are signed by the designer, Weiss. Well cared for, this set is in Excellent condition. Circa: 1950s
A former employee of costume jewelry powerhouse, Coro, Albert Weiss started the Weiss jewelry company in 1942. Collectors covet Weiss' expertly crafted work with rhinestones as well as floral and natural figural designs. Michael Weiss, Albert's son, inherited the business after his father's retirement, but the company eventually closed in the 1970s.
