Beautiful waterfall design in this large, signed Weissco, peridot green and citrine rhinestone brooch. A beautiful, sparkling piece in excellent condition the signature dates it to about 1947. Dimensional Piece, five individual floral style sprays as base and on top. Size: 3" wide x 2" tall. An early and highly collectible piece.
A former employee of costume jewelry powerhouse, Coro, Albert Weiss started the Weiss jewelry company in 1942. Collectors covet Weiss' expertly crafted work with rhinestones as well as floral and natural figural designs. Michael Weiss, Albert's son, inherited the business after his father's retirement, but the company eventually closed in the 1970s.
