Fantastic example of the fine work of designer Ermani Bulatti. My first piece of Bulatti was from England and every once in awhile I come across another. A growing favorite as I learn more about this designer. A bold Art Deco design typical of Bulatti pieces, this design incorporates a flexible snake chain collar with a modern looking slide with hematite enhancements. The necklace is approximately 17 1/4" total length, and the focal medallion is 2-3/4" from top to bottom. Even the clasp is finished with extra details. Excellent condition. The reflection is from my red camera. This piece is clearly signed.
Ermani Bulatti is renowned for his bold but highly sophisticated creative vision. His dessigns are inspired by styles such as Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Neo-Classical, Modern as well as Egyptian and Etruscan Revival. Ermani Bulatti pieces were designed and manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s in Holland and were on sale in high end retailers in Paris, Milan and New York as well as Amsterdam. The pieces were handmade in Holland by skilled jewelry artisans. High quality brass plated in gold, silver or bronze was used and stones including Pearl, Mother Of Pearl and Hematite were sourced from around the world and selected for their beauty. Crystals from renowned Austrian crystal producer, Swarovski, were often used.
