This brooch and earring set is a book set in Anne Pittman's " Juliana Jewelry Reference: DeLizza & Elster" book on Page 75. The color of the margarita stone is called light sapphire. The colors are truly beautiful in this stylized leaf pin and matching clip earrings. Margarita stones are favored by collectors for their ruffled edging and depth of color. This set is in excellent condition, front and back.
Size: Brooch: almost 3 inches long x 1 inch wide; Clip Earrings: 1 inch; Circa: 1964.
Creators of the "Juliana" line of jewelry, William Delizza and Harold Elster founded the Delizza & Elster jewelry company in 1947. Only about 2000 pieces of "Juliana" vintage costume jewelry were ever made under that name. William De Lizza was the main designer of Delizza & Elster's open line (not to be confused with Juliana) and there were other design apprentices on staff as well. The company ceased production in 1990. Their line of Juliana is some of the most fabulous and sought after jewelry today.
