Beautiful clip earrings, each signed Schreiner of New York. The center glass stone is a rectangular faceted yellow topaz color surrounded by olive green and black diamond rhinestones, some of which are inverted. Measuring 1 1/8" x 1" they are in excellent condition.
Evolving from a blacksmith to buckle fabricator and then finally to costume jeweler, Henry Schreiner is responsible for designing some of the most intricate and uniquely colorful costume pieces. His work has appeared on the cover of Vogue in the 1950s. The Schreiner of New York brand continued after Henry's death in 1954 with his daughter and son-in-law until the late 1970s. Schreiner pieces are coveted by collectors.
