Very Art Deco in style, this long glass beaded necklace with a tassel hanging from the bottom looks like it is straight out of the 1920s. It consists of hand made glass beads in complementary colors of green and turquoise. Extremely well done the piece fits as well today as in the past and adds interest to casual or dressy outfits. Great piece.
Size: 30 inches plus 5.5 inch tassel; Excellent Condition
One popular long necklace was the Sautoir. It usually had a tassel hanging at the bottom or a large single gemstone pendant. It was not always worn down the front of a dress. It could loop to one shoulder or drop all the way down the back. The back drop drew attention to an open back dress– sexy sexy indeed! The twenties were not just about new styles of jewelry but also new ways to wear them!
