Vintage Ermani Bulatti Art Nouveau brooch with an onyxlike base stone and finished with a center of mother of pearl shell and brass with amazing detail. The border of the MOP is etched with a satin Herringbone effect. The copper color birds of flight surround the center stone with joined wings. Just an exquisite example of early Bulatti work, a wonderful piece of vintage wearable art.

Ermani Bulatti is renowned for his bold but highly sophisticated creative vision. His designs are inspired by styles such as Art Deco, Art Nouveau, Neo-Classical, Modern as well as Egyptian and Etruscan Revival. Ermani Bulatti pieces were designed and manufactured in the 1970s and 1980s in Holland and were on sale in high end retailers in Paris, Milan and New York as well as Amsterdam. The pieces were handmade in Holland by skilled jewelry artisans. High quality brass plated in gold, silver or bronze was used and stones including Pearl, Mother Of Pearl and Hematite were sourced from around the world and selected for their beauty. Crystals from renowned Austrian crystal producer, Swarovski, were often used.
