Such an unusual and rare vintage Florenza necklace! The large molded stones are a frosted two color teardrop in between sections of brushed silver leaves and black and crystal rhinestones. A very special and rarely found example of Florenza jewelry. Marked Florenza. The matching bracelet, earrings and brooch are listed in my shop as item 1588, they were purchase at different times.

Florenza was a jewelry line sold to jobbers. Started in the early 1950s by Dan Kasoff and then run by his son Larry, the company was located in the Garment District of New York City. Dan Kasoff, the company's founder, designed all of the Florenza pieces. Faux precious stones and a distinctly Victorian look are signatures of Florenza. After a bad accident almost took Larry's life in 1981, this beloved jewelry brand was forced to stop production.
