The unusual that Schiaparelli is known for these round, faceted glass earrings have a "stripe" down the middle of the frosted glass and are set in a silvertone setting with decorative "dogtooth" prongs. They are signed, as are ALL authentic Schiaparelli clip earrings. The Schiap box used in the picture is not included but a presentation box will be part of your purchase. Very stylish Schiaparelli vintage.

Known for her use of her signature "shocking pink" color, Elsa Schiaparelli is a giant in the world of couture. Italian by birth and one-time New York City resident, Schiaparelli launched her house of couture in Paris and employed amazingly gifted designers to create her jewelry accessories. To name just a few: Jean Clement, Lyda Coppola and Jean Schlumberger all created custom designs for Schiaparelli. Many of her jewelry designs were imported by D. Lisner & co. Later she licensed her name and the Ralph DeRosa Co. made jewelry for the American market. Elsa Schiaparelli passed away at the age of 83 in Paris in 1973. Everything Schiaparelli is highly collected.
