A very rare Chad Valley Stanley Baldwin UK Prime Minister 1923-29,

Here is a rare brushed cotton doll with wired limbs, painted features and felt cloths.

There is a woven red and white label on his shoe sole.

Chad Valley made a small range of political characters in the 1920-30s, presumably bought for adults, as mascots or perhaps to abuse!

(he is a little dusty and faded with age, he should have a wooden plain pine pipe in his mouth, fairly easy to reproduce, he has damage to his finger where the pipe would have been attached and the back of his head, where the hat has become unattached, minor problems, easily resolved with slight restoration)
