An unusual collection of motifs, this 12K yellow gold Victorian memorial pendant brooch is quite the statement piece. The center of the pendant has a bouquet of forget-me-nots and pansies, with a fly perched atop of them. Above that is what appears to be a lily, with natural seed pearl and garnet accents. The ornate border has three old cut diamonds and a garnet. These diamonds are of I1 to I2 clarity and G/H in color.
The back of the pendant has a compartment which can be opened to add a memento of a loved one. Currently, there is a piece of blue ribbon inside. There is some damage to the bottom back portion of the brooch, including some dents. Please look at the photos carefully. None of the damage is visible from the front of the pendant. There are no markings on the piece, which is quite typical for older jewelry such as this.
