This fantastic ring looks to be late mid-century. The setting is light and airy: two gold bands with a circle of gold and 4 sweeping prongs to hold a most impressive citrine. The stone is about 15 mm (approximations are offered as it is difficult to accurately measure gemstones in their settings). While its size is grand, the color of this citrine is even more fascinating – it appears wonderfully tawny-brown at first, but in sunlight (see photo), you'll see mossy-green tones emerge. Size 3 1/2. Hallmarked 14k. No maker's mark. 5.8 grams. Includes gift presentation box.
