This pair of cheerful Lusterware vases are in a tripod form of jointed tulips. The three tulip heads service as individual openings in which small buds can be placed. The gathered stem flare out to form the tripod foot. The finish is the familiar lusterware colors of golden orange and lavender blue. This pair are reversed in the color placement which adds to the charm of them. Details of the tulips have been hand painted in contrasting black. The bottoms are marked "Made in Japan" dating these after 1921. Condition is excellent with only the tiniest of fleabites to one of the golden tulip's rim (too small to photograph). Measurements are approximately 6 1/4" T X 4" W at the base. This pair could easily fit in almost any interior design theme be it traditional or modern.
