English Cameo glass vase in white cut to shades of pink. The body of the vase is made of three layers of glass. The first is an opaque white which is overlaid with a semi transparent pink. The pink layer fades from a rose pink to very pale pink at the base of the vase and is a low gloss surface. The third layer is the cameo carved layer done in opaque white. The cameo decoration is a trailing vine of flowers maybe Morning Glory with large triangular leaves with good depth of detail.
The form of the vase is a round shouldered cylinder with a short neck. The piece measures 6 3/4" H x 5" W.
The bottom of the vase has some very faintly signed numbers 676/5 in black. These same numbers are molded into the glass, but can only be seen under very bright light and holding the piece at a angle. (These numbers correspond to the size of the piece). No other marks are present on the piece so the maker can not be established. The piece is free of chips and cracks or repairs.
