A Noritake serving dish in the form of an elongated oval celery or relish plate. This one has an background in shades of ivory and warm gray. The hand painted decorations are broad multi-lobed leaves painted in bright orange and spring green with sky blue blossoms all outlined and detailed in gold gilding. The double handles and edge is finished with granulated gilding. The back has the Hand Painted Nippon mark with M in the laurel wreath which is a mark used by Noritake, Morimura Bros. Importer 1910-1921. Condition is very good only slight wear to the gilding at the handles. Dimensions are 13 1/2" L x 6 1/2" W and 1 3/4" tall. This piece is both elegant and lively with its bright colors.
