A very elegantly decorated gilt berry bowl from Seyei Toki Co. Ltd Mariyama Japan circa 1909 - 1921. Featuring a pale green border decorated with hand painted raspberries in red and purple with the canes done in gold gilt. Raspberry vines gracefully spill down into the bowl. Scatter among the berries are blossoms and leaves adding to the beauty of this piece. The rim of the bowl is in a scrolled hexagon shape finished with a granulated gilded edge, showing some wear to the gold. This piece is free of any chips or cracks and is wonderful survivor of an era of elegant dining. The diameter is 8 inches across and the bowl stands 2 inches tall. A real beauty.
