A petite vase standing only 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 inches wide, in the classic urn shape. The glass is deep custard with a satin finish. The front of the vase is hand decorated with enameled flowers and fern leaves in browns, deep purple and overlaid with gold gilt. The lip of the vase is finished with black enamel and gold gilt edging, there is evidence of wear to the gilding. On the back shoulder of the vase there is a flaw in the glass from the blowing and shaping process. This is not a chip (please examine the fourth image closely) and is not visible on the presentation side. There are also some surface air bubbles scattered across the body of the vase and one inside the throat. All in all these short comings attest to the handcrafted nature of this piece of Bohemian art glass.
