This is an antique German bisque head shoulder plate doll by Alt, Beck & Gottschalck that is 22" tall from approximately 1885-1911 and in good condition.
She has stationary blue glass eyes, open mouth with 4 teeth showing. She has pretty hand painted eyelashes and brush stroke eyebrows. Her antique body has ball jointed wood arms and composition hands, leather body that is jointed at upper legs and knees.
She has vintage socks and tie shoes. She wears a pretty light peach satin dress with 4 gathering lines at the bodice and ruffles at the hemline. The dress is very clean with no fading, no worn spots and no holes. She has 2 full satin slips under her dress that is ivory in color and very clean with no stains or holes. She has vintage pantaloons. She has a matching ruffled bonnet with silk ribbon bow on top and ties at sides. She has a vintage dark blonde mohair wig.
She has no cracks or chips to her porcelain head and shoulder plate. Her arms are strung a little loose. She has material placed inside her head to help keep her eyes in place. It looks like she could use plaster placed against the holding mechanism to keep them in place. Please see the pictures.
