Scarlett O'Hara 18" tall composition doll by Madame Alexander from 1937-1949 in good condition with tagged dress.
This is a Scarlett O'Hara composition doll that is 18" tall made by Madame Alexander from 1937-1949 and in good condition with a tagged dress. She is not marked on her head or back; Madame Alexander did not mark her dolls but just put tags on their clothing. The original tag on her dress reads 'Scarlett O'Hara by Madame Alexander NY all rights reserved'.
Her tagged silk dress is a light brown color with a hint of green. It has it's original green silk ribbon belt that is thinning with age and it has also an added green silk ribbon belt and bow over the original.
She has a wide white organdy gathered ruffle at her neckline. Her Madame Alexander tag is found under her organdy ruffle at the back of her dress. She has an added vintage slip with wide lace with white embroidered dots at the bottom over her original hoop skirt. It is so wide that the wire in places makes a fold in on itself. She has matching pantaloons with lace. She wears rayon stockings and her original dark green leatherette shoes with green bows.
There are three small holes at the bottom of the skirt on the right lower side and one 1/4" slit right at bottom hemline. These holes are less than 1/4". Her eyes are clouded from age. Her hair lashes are perfect and she has good lips and painted eyebrows. Her left eyebrow is a little worn. Her knees and elbows still have blush color and a little blush color left to her cheeks. She has a very nice black human hair wig curled at the bottom in it's original set. She has some paint wear under her chin. She has been recently re-strung with new elastic cording.
She has her original straw hat with large silk ribbon flowers and green silk ribbon ties. She has her original white magnolia fabric flowers in her black hair.
